Polyakov Institut für Theoretische Physik II, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, D-44780 Bochum, Germany and Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute, Gatchina, St. Petersburg 188350, Russia Abstract We discuss a new leading-order parameterization of generalized parton distributions of the proton, which is based on the idea of duality. In its minimal version, the parameterization is defined by the usual quark singlet parton distributions and the form factors of the energy-momentum tensor. We demonstrate that our parameterization describes very well the absolute value, the Q-dependence and the W -dependence of the HERA data on the total DVCS cross section and contains no free parameters in that kinematics. The parameterization suits especially well the low-xBj region, which allows us to advocate it as a better alternative to the frequently used double distribution parameterization of the GPDs.

Deeply virtual Compton scattering at small x B and the access to the GPD H

We give a partonic interpretation for the deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) measurements of the H1 and ZEUS collaborations in the small-xB region in terms of generalized parton distributions. Thereby we have a closer look at the skewness effect, parameterization of the t-dependence, revealing the chromomagnetic pomeron, and at a model dependent access to the anomalous gravitomagnetic mom...

On the D-term of the nucleon generalized parton distributions

It is known that some of the deeply-virtual-Compton-scattering observables, for instance, the beam-charge asymmetry in the hard electroproduction of real photons on the nucleon, are extremely sensitive to the magnitude of D-term appearing in the parameterization of the generalized parton distributions. We report a theoretical analysis of both the isoscalar and isovector parts of the nucleon D-t...

Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering in the Saturation Approach

The study of hard exclusive reactions in the Bjorken limit is crucial to obtain information on parton dynamical correlations in the nucleon. The recent data from DESY ep collider HERA on exclusive diffractive virtual Compton process [1,2,3] (DVCS) at large Q becomes an important source to study the partons, in particular gluon, inside the proton for non-forward kinematics and its relation with ...

Crossing and Radon Tomography for Generalized Parton Distributions

The crossing properties of the matrix elements of non-local operators, parameterized by Generalized Parton Distribution, are considered. They are especially simple in terms of the Double Distributions which are common for the various kinematical regions. As a result, Double Distributions may be in principle extracted from the combined data in these regions by making use of the inverse Radon tra...

THE EUROPEAN PHYSICAL JOURNAL A A fitter code for Deep Virtual Compton Scattering and Generalized Parton Distributions

We have developed a fitting code based on the leading-twist handbag Deep Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) amplitude in order to extract Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) information from DVCS observables in the valence region. In a first stage, with simulations and pseudo-data, we show that the full GPD information can be recovered from experimental data if enough observables are measured....
